Faster work creates a choice about how to spend time
Testable hypothesisTime released by AI can be used for additional work, stronger testing, better quality or learning. Whether that creates value must be checked.
If the next stage cannot accept more output, producing more may only create a queue. The person could instead use some of the released time to test more thoroughly, resolve uncertainties or make each item easier to review. [Theory companion §10.1]
For a developer, that might mean checking more user journeys or explaining a consequential design choice more clearly. These are possible uses of capacity, not reported outcomes of our developer account.
The proposed benefit is that better preparation could reduce avoidable review and revision while preserving necessary human decisions. It could also fail: extra refinement can add complexity without improving the result. [Theory companion §10.2] [Measurement companion §6.5]
The question is what the released time actually changes for users, coworkers or the organization.

A limit worth testing
“Extra refinement could just add complexity. Why assume it helps?”
